The lodge felt well-equipped and we appreciated the little touches like washing and dishwasher tablets, loads of hooks, towels for the hot tub, plenty of kitchen utensils, rubbish bags, lots of wood and fire starterand good lighting outside with sensors.

We recently spent a week at Apple Tree Lodge as a family and we were really pleased with the accommodation. The setting was lovely and Talgarth made for a great base to explore the Brecon Beacons. We even got to enjoy the hot tub after a bit of trial and error with getting the fire lit. Our only small complaint would be that, during the high temperatures, the lodge gets really hot with all the glazing - it might be a good idea to provide more than one fan for the whole place!

However, we feel there should be a gate at the top of the steps to stop the dogs from getting too close to the cars. The location was lovely and it felt we we far from home but only an hour away. The only difficulty was the access for my elderly mother as the steps down were a struggle for her. This cabin is super comfortable and tucked away in a beautiful village right inside the Brecon Beacons! The walks and views around are absolutely stunning. However, if you've got little ones, the layout of the cabin might be a bit tricky. Plus, there's not much in the way of essential gear for young children, so it's probably better suited for families with slightly older kids.
