We recently spent a week at Apple Tree Lodge as a family and we were really pleased with the accommodation. The setting was lovely and Talgarth made for a great base to explore the Brecon Beacons. We even got to enjoy the hot tub after a bit of trial and error with getting the fire lit. Our only small complaint would be that, during the high temperatures, the lodge gets really hot with all the glazing - it might be a good idea to provide more than one fan for the whole place!

However, we feel there should be a gate at the top of the steps to stop the dogs from getting too close to the cars. This cabin is super comfortable and tucked away in a beautiful village right inside the Brecon Beacons! The walks and views around are absolutely stunning. However, if you've got little ones, the layout of the cabin might be a bit tricky. Plus, there's not much in the way of essential gear for young children, so it's probably better suited for families with slightly older kids.
