Climb the historic stone steps up to the vaulted sitting room and take a moment to relax in front of the wood burner before heading back to the rustic kitchen area to rustle up some dinner. Host a sociable meal at the dining table. Alternatively, head outside to the terrace to enjoy a BBQ feast while taking in the uninterrupted views of Black Mountains. After dinner, relax in the rustic shared wood fired sauna or head to the study and lose yourself in a good book. At the end of the day, make your way upstairs and you’ll find a lovely double bedroom. The sitting room also serves as an extra bedroom that features a single bed with a pull-out trundle bed. Spend a pleasant afternoon taking in the lively atmosphere of Crickhowell’s High Street (3.5 miles). Discover unique gifts, local crafts and delicious treats in the town’s boutiques and cafes. Alternatively, head to Llangattock Escarpment (6.5 miles). The views over the Brecon Beacons are fantastic and you may be lucky enough to spot some birds of prey.
