We recently spent a week at Apple Tree Lodge as a family and we were really pleased with the accommodation. The setting was lovely and Talgarth made for a great base to explore the Brecon Beacons. We even got to enjoy the hot tub after a bit of trial and error with getting the fire lit. Our only small complaint would be that, during the high temperatures, the lodge gets really hot with all the glazing - it might be a good idea to provide more than one fan for the whole place!

However, we feel there should be a gate at the top of the steps to stop the dogs from getting too close to the cars. We would definitely recommend the property, as we hope the cleanliness issue was just a blip.

This cabin is super comfortable and tucked away in a beautiful village right inside the Brecon Beacons! The walks and views around are absolutely stunning. However, if you've got little ones, the layout of the cabin might be a bit tricky. Plus, there's not much in the way of essential gear for young children, so it's probably better suited for families with slightly older kids.
